Build Your Future Today welcomes volunteers who bring skills, passion, and fresh perspectives to support our key development initiatives. Volunteers contribute across a range of areas—including community education, health and sanitation, sustainable livelihoods, and administrative support—working side-by-side with our local team and community members in Siem Reap province.
Volunteering with BFT offers a deeply rewarding experience to collaborate directly with Cambodian staff, build lifelong international connections, and gain meaningful insight into sustainable community development.

Who do we need to help us?
Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to apply. Please download our Volunteer Information Pack for more information. We are looking for volunteers for a minimum of a month, however applications for a minimum of two weeks will be taken into consideration.
What does it Cost?
We require a Volunteer Supportive Contribution of $150 USD to cover costs of managing volunteers. See our Volunteer Information Pack for more details.
HOW TO APPLY
BFT suggests that all prospective volunteers read about Cambodia and our ongoing projects through our website and by researching online before applying. We encourage you to reach out to us directly for any further information or questions you may have.
BFT works consistently to protect people’s human rights and protect children from any abuse according to the United Nations Policy on Child Protection. BFT Center requires all interested volunteers to complete our Volunteer Application, have read our Terms and Conditions below and our Child Protection Policy, and to sign our Child Protection Policy before commencing their time with us.
Terms and Conditions:
- All applicants must use our online Volunteer Application Form to apply and attach your Curriculum vitae (CV) / Resume
- Criminal Background Check: I understand and agree that BFT Center may carry out a criminal background check prior to my starting a volunteer program, and understand that this is purely in the interest of child protection.
- You must be 18 years old or over at the commencement of your placement.
- We need longer-term Volunteers for a period of 1 month or longer. However short-term volunteers applications of a minimum of two week will be considered.
- Volunteers do not have to work a full day. Volunteers can choose their hours and arrange this with BFT Center upon arrival.
- Accommodation, food, and transportation costs are the sole responsibility of the Volunteer.
- All flights, transport and Visas must be organized by the volunteer.
- Volunteers are strongly requested to obtain HEALTH INSURANCE.
- If you stay in our villages, Build Your Future Today Center has arranged with locals for rural accommodation in convenient locations within short walking to your volunteer work, school etc. – the cost of this is very small.
